Medusa

Full Range of Motion

Fothergill 500g + 400g Dual Trilaminate

The Medusa gets its mobility from the raglan cut, not from lighter materials. The diagonal seam from collar to underarm lets your shoulders rotate freely in every direction. The trilaminate is actually heavier than the Hydroman — 500g on the arms, 400g on the torso — because commercial divers prefer the feel of thicker fabric. If your work involves sustained arm movement, reaching, and manipulating objects underwater, the Medusa stops the suit from getting in your way.

The Medusa replaces the standard set-sleeve cut with a raglan cut (like a baseball tee) that lets your shoulders move freely in every direction. It is actually heavier than the Hydroman — 500g trilaminate on the arms, 400g on the torso — because commercial divers prefer thicker fabric for its heft and feel. This is the suit for divers who work underwater and need unrestricted arm movement. Not a cave suit — it is built for commercial and arm-intensive diving.

Medusa: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order the Medusa?

Email or WhatsApp us with the Medusa model name. We'll walk you through customization options, take you through the measurement process, and confirm everything before the build starts. Every suit is made from scratch to your body.

What sizes does the Medusa come in?

There are no standard sizes. The Medusa is cut and built to your exact body measurements. We send you a detailed measurement guide and can help you through the process remotely or in person in Hurghada.

Can I customize the Medusa?

Yes. On top of the base configuration, you can spec bronze zippers, silicone seals, QCS quick-change ring systems, a P-valve, extra Kevlar reinforcement patches, custom stitching colours, and embroidered logos or text.

How long does it take to receive my Medusa?

Allow 8-12 weeks from confirmed order. The Medusa is built by hand in Italy, and cutting, stitching, sealing, and quality control all take time. Shipping to your region is on top of that.

How does the Medusa compare to other Ugly Fish models?

The Medusa gets its mobility from the raglan cut, and it is actually heavier than the Hydroman — thicker trilaminate that commercial divers prefer. Built for arm-intensive work and sustained reaching. The Hydroman covers general-purpose diving well at lighter weight. For cut or abrasion protection, the Kryptonite, Ninja, and Stone step up to professional-grade materials.

What seal types are available?

Latex wrist and neck seals come standard. Upgrades include neoprene for extra toughness, silicone for longer life and comfort, and QCS ring systems that let you swap seals in the field with no tools.

How do I care for and maintain my drysuit?

Rinse with fresh water after every dive. Salt is hard on seals and zippers. Dry the suit completely, inside and out, before storing it. Wax the zipper regularly. Hang it up out of direct sunlight and do not fold it for weeks at a time.

What warranty comes with the Medusa?

Ugly Fish covers defects in materials and workmanship under their manufacturer warranty. Sealachi handles all after-sales support locally, including service, repairs, and warranty claims through our Hurghada centre.

Hydroman drysuit — The Benchmark Suit

standard

Hydroman

The Benchmark Suit

Fothergill 360g trilaminate shell with standard set-sleeve construction, Cordura 1000 overlays on every high-wear zone, and a double zip closure. The Hydroman is already a high-end suit — clever overlay placement on the chest, arms, seat, crotch, and knees gives it durability well beyond its weight class. It is the suit the rest of the range grew out of, and still the one most divers end up choosing.

Fothergill 360g Trilaminate + Cordura 1000

Three-layer waterproof fabric with Cordura reinforcement patches. Does everything well.

Kryptonite drysuit — Cut-Proof Without the Bulk

professional

Kryptonite

Cut-Proof Without the Bulk

Same 360g Fothergill trilaminate base as the Hydroman, but with proprietary Kryptonite cut-resistant panels on every high-wear zone. The result is a suit that shrugs off sharp metal and rough rock while packing down almost as small as a standard trilaminate. Serious protection that still fits in your dive bag. For the ultimate all-environment option, see the Ninja.

Kryptonite Reinforcement + Fothergill 360g Trilaminate

Proprietary cut-resistant panels on standard trilaminate. Tough and packable.

Ninja drysuit — The Kryptonite, Evolved

professional

Ninja

The Kryptonite, Evolved

The Ninja builds on the Kryptonite platform with upgraded materials across the board. Built on the same 360g Fothergill base, it splits your body into two protection zones. Ceramic/Cordura on the chest and arms resists the scraping and abrasion of overhead environments. Kevlar/Silicone on the legs handles sharp edges while staying flexible enough to fin properly. The premium all-environment option in the professional range.

Ceramic/Cordura + Kevlar/Silicone + Fothergill 360g Trilaminate

Ceramic/Cordura upper, Kevlar/Silicone lower. Zone-matched protection.
